We are a group of high school students working hard to enact environmental change in our schools and build long-lasting, sustainable, and equitable systems in the face of the climate crisis. Our work started out small within the Sunrise Hub of our high school, School Without Walls, but has now grown across the District and is gaining traction through our hard work and dedication. Though we have already achieved a great amount, we are far from done and have a great deal of work ahead...join us in our journey!

WHAT IS THE GREEN NEW DEAL FOR SCHOOLS?
The Green New Deal for Schools is a groundbreaking resolution that aims to ensure sustainibility and equity in schools across the District. We are looking to create a long-lasting and environmentally conscious school system, through physical changes to our infrastructure and abstract changes to our education itself. The resolution has 5 main demands (click the button to the right for more info), and in DC has been passed by the State Board of Education and is now moving through the DC Council.
