This project was started as part of a web design class that I was taking during the spring of 2019. As such, we were all being instructed on how to create webpages for public consumption. One of the projects was this case study which required me to work with two other people and collaborate on the end result.
The two people I worked with on this project were Sharon Work and Stephanie Loethen. This project was one of many that the three of us worked on together. I picked this one; I found it to be the most important because it taught me about proper use of accessibility features on websites. This project took one week to complete. Each of us took a specific section and focused on that, then we got together virtually to edit the final draft.
Key aspects of the project included research on accessibility features, add-ons for browsers, testing of accessibility and practicing writing accessibility into code. The final result of this case study and all other projects was a personal web page created which can be seen at www.garrettmonroe.com, it incorporates all web-accessibility requirements learned through this project.
