We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and that inspiration without preservation is useless. If God did not preserve His words without error, then He lied. God can not lie (Titus 1:2). Therefore, we believe the King James Bible to be the complete words of God inspired by the Spirit of God and is entirely free from error. It is the final authority in all matters of faith, practice and the true basis of Christian union. We believe God has preserved his words down throughout the ages, and that we possess the perfect words of God in the universal, predominant language of these last days. We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, almighty, eternal, existing in all three equal Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. We believe in the Trinity/Godhead. 1 John 5:7
We believe that Jesus Christ is God, manifest in the flesh. He is the only begotten Son of God who was sent by the Father and willingly submitted himself to the Father's will. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was obedient to the death of the cross, shed his blood for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, is seated at the right hand of the father, and is soon returning for His church. 1 Timothy 3:16, Philippians 2:8, Hebrews 4:15, Romans 5:8, Matthew 1:23, Matthew 28:6, Hebrews 10:12, Revelation 22:20
We believe God the Holy Ghost is a person of the trinity. He was sent by the Father and Son to the believer as a Comforter. He empowers the believer to preach the gospel and serve the Lord in all things. He reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. He testifies of Christ, guides the believer into all truth, and seals the believer unto the day of redemption. John 14:16, John 15:26, John 16:13, John 16:8, Ephesians 4:30, Acts 1:8
We believe that Satan, the originator of sin, the archenemy of God and
man is a real, present enemy. 1 Peter 5:8
We believe that man was divinely created in the image of God, that he sinned and became guilty before God, therefore incurring physical and spiritual death. All of mankind inherited a sin nature because of Adam's fall. Man can not save himself. Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Titus 3:5.
We believe that salvation is by the grace of God. A person is saved by individually, personally putting their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Man can only be saved by grace through faith in the gospel (Christ's death for sins, his burial, and his resurrection). Salvation is available to whosoever will (that means all). For a saved Christian, salvation can not be lost. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Timothy 4:10, Romans 10:9-13, John 10:28.
We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust. Also in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed as well as the judgment and eternal punishment of the wicked. We believe the Lord will return to rapture the church prior to the tribulation period, and later return to set up a literal, physical, visible kingdom on earth, ruling and reigning from Jerusalem. We hold to a literal interpretation of scripture, therefore we are dispensational, premillennial, and hold to a pre-tribulation rapture of the church. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Zechariah 14:9
We believe that a church is a company of immersed believers, called out from the world, separated unto Jesus, voluntarily associated for the ministry of the word, the mutual edification of its members, the propagation of the faith and the observance of ordinances (Baptism and the Lord's Supper). We believe it is an autonomous, independent body under the lordship of Christ, the Head of the Church.
We believe that there are two ordinances for the church regularly observed in the New Testament. 1) Baptism which is the immersion of the believer in water, whereby he/she obeys Christ's command and sets forth his identification with Christ in his death, burial and resurrection. 2) The Lord's Supper which is the memorial wherein the believer partakes of the two elements, bread and fruit of the vine which symbolize the Lord's body and shed blood, proclaiming His death until He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:24-26, Acts 16:33
We are Baptist on purpose. We hold to the Baptist distinctives, believing them to be biblical. (Biblical authority, autonomy of the local church, priesthood of the believer, two ordinances, individual soul liberty, saved church membership, two offices, separation of church and state, and security of the believer).
