About me

I have a Ph.D. and a Masters in Second Language Education from the University of Ottawa, Canada. Currently, I'm an Assistant Professor at the Facultad de Humanidades, USACH. In the English language teaching program, I teach the courses of ELT Methodology and Didactica General.

My research papers deal with the participation of novice English teachers in school Communities of Practice, social justice, and language teaching in vulnerable school contexts through the lens of the Capabilities Approach, international professional development, and volunteer English teaching.  

I've always thought if I weren't a teacher, I would be a photographer. I love to capture nature, people, and places. I always stop, take the phone, and get a few pics wherever I go.
