Classroom Service

Quick service ideas you can do in your classroom.

SECRET STICKIES

This is one of our favorite movements to start in a school. First, pick a person such as the plant manager, librarian, counselor, etc. Next get a sticky note and write one specific and meaningful memory about the person on it. Finally, go and stick the note to the person's desk, window, or door. Do this quietly, it is a surprise!

SCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION

Every now and then we need an outside break.

Go outside look for trash that needs to be picked up around your school, items that need to be taken to the lost and found, or equipment that needs to be put away and start cleaning.

Nice notes

Take a moment and write something kind to a classmate. Leave it on their desk for them to find later. You would be surprised by how a nice note can change your day.

Service CARDS

Perform an act of service, even something as small as making a sibling's bed and leave this card. It will bring a smile to their face and hopefully they will do something and pass the card on.

Kindness Cards

Print, cut, laminate. Each week pick a new card and try to accomplish the task on the card. New week? New card and new kindness challenge.

Thank you notes

Print, cut, and hand out. Write a cute note on the back and deliver to the person you want to thank.

Gratitude Grams

Continue the spirit of giving thanks by filling these out every day for the month of November and spread them around your school!

secret spotlight

Pick one child at the beginning of the day and keep it a secret. Throughout the day say wow my Secret Spotlight is.... or I am so glad my Secret Spotlight has.... At the end of the day I reveal who the spotlight was. But then we take it one step further. I either open an email or get out this paper and then have everyone in the class say the wonderful things that the Secret Spotlight did that day. I then send the email to the parents or send the paper home.
