Hi! My name is Swayam Shah, and I am a junior attending Enloe High School. I have taught multiple middle school math courses through nonprofit organizations, took AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC as a freshman, Calculus 3 and Differential Equations as a sophomore, and am taking AP Statistics as a junior. I did Double SSA in elementary school and took two math courses a year in middle school. From my own experience, I know what it takes to reach advanced levels of math. In my free time, I enjoy working out, playing football, and hanging out with my friends. My passion for teaching comes from my love of sharing knowledge and helping others!
I will be teaching a math curriculum for elementary school students who want to take the SSA math test and skip a math course, so they can learn accelerated math throughout middle and high school.
What is SSA?
SSA, or Single Subject Acceleration, is a WCPSS program where students can take a test to skip a math course. This allows them to take advanced classes throughout middle and high school. I took the SSA test in elementary school, which gave me the ability to take AP Calculus AB & BC as a 9th grader.
Even if you are not part of WCPSS, this course is a great way to learn advanced math and get ahead of your peers!
This is the syllabus we will be following throughout the course. It is subject to change based on student preferences. ALL timings are in EST (Eastern Standard Time).
Sessions will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting on 7/10/2024.
