What is Model United Nations?

Model UN (MUN) is a live stimulation to the United Nations Organization where you, along with other delegates, participate in procedural debates that seek to solve global issues. Such an activity rewards you with strengths in public speaking, debating, leadership, and thinking as a global citizen.

When is GMUN?

GMUN is on the 23rd of August, 2020.

How much does it cost to participate at GMUN?

GMUN costs absolutely nothing as we welcome everyone to participate (including you!)

How does GMUN work remotely?

We are using Zoom as our official online platform where you can access the whole conference without leaving your room.

What language is used in GMUN?

GMUN is hosted in English language only. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Why GMUN?

GMUN is one of the most diverse organizations in the world where our secretariat team only is from four continents. Our conference is style in a way that will enable all delegates to think about the forgotten and underestimated parts of the world, granting you the benefit of thinking in a globalized way. Aside from awards and certificates, we will enhance your public speaking and diplomatic skills, and if you are a total beginner, don’t worry because we will teach you these skills!

What would I benefit?

GMUN offers participation certificates to all delegates, as well as honorary certificates to special delegates. Chiefly, our conference offers you the chance of debating and enhancing your leadership skills on a free platform, and gives you the advantage of interacting and debating with people from all across the world.

What is the dress code policy?

Appropriate attire is mandatory since all delegates are strongly encouraged to turn on their cameras. Business attire is also strongly recommended, but it is not mandatory.

What is your position paper policy?

Position papers are strongly encouraged to be provided by delegates, but they are not mandatory. If any delegate requests, our chairs will provide feedback on them. Position papers act as the column of your strong debate, so it is much preferred that you write one. A best position paper award will be distributed.
