Honorable delegates, chairs, and parents:
Greetings!
This is Mark Basta, the founder and secretary-general of Global Model UN. Me and my team are working day and night to provide you with the most memorable and globalized experience you can have! I am looking forward to serving you all in our great conference!
Amid the tensful times we are going through, our secretariat, which is a very international cooperation, is working extensively to provide a pretty globalized environment for our conference!
My vision is to help all delegates get out of their comfort zones, and learn about true international relations. I am looking to expand our minds to not just include Westernized standards and thoughts, but a truly Global way of thinking. I have attended lots of international discussions that were all working in Westernized mechanisms, but that is not my goal, but a chance to experience the world with global lens is what I am looking for.
Without any further introduction, I, the founder and secretary general of GMUN, along with our amazingly experienced secretariat team, invite you to be a part of our GMUN family, and to get ready for an unforgettable experience!
Sincerely,
Mark Basta
Secretary-General and Founder | GMUN
Our GMUN team is intended to be as diverse as possible, coming from all corners of the world, to create as much of an international environment as possible. We believe that unilateralism is many nations' decisions was, is, and will be the major reason for most tensions going in the world. One decision by the a nation drove the world to global chaos, and single selfish decision let the world to the peak of nuclear danger. It is our belief that we should help all delegates to understand the importance of international cooperation and thinking about the whole world over any other entity to ensure a safe, cooperative world.
GMUN has adopted to the ongoing crises going on, making our conference free and virtual to all youth across the globe. GMUN features 3 committees ranging from Wars by Drug Gangs to the 1956 Suez Canal Crisis. All delegates have the chance on deep thinking while representing a member state from opening to closing ceremonies. Moreover, giving skillful speeches and creating comprehensive solutions for global issues will give all participants the chance to act like they are in real peacekeeping missions, preparing all of them to take this actual position in the future.
Our conference has a limited maximum capacity intentionally as our team wants to be always be in touch with delegates once they sign up until they receive their awards. Delegates receive frequent emails and get contact with the team through social media so that they can entertain the right to ask any question on the conference and the MUN strategy. Keeping delegates accountable and updated works perfectly for beginner delegates as they need more help and support, which we offer through our accountability program.
