Unity in a family is key and God has a principle of pouring His blessing where there is unity.
Lack of unity devoid families of God’s blessings, our prayer point for the family is to ask that God blesses them with unity.
We always ask them to pray and ask God to give every member of their family the heart of forgiveness.
We encourage them to pray against any rooted seed of bitterness in their hearts; families should ask God daily to bring them all together in love, peace, and unity.
During our home visitation we journeyed with a couple for 3 years, they were going through domestic violence, family neglect and infidelity we encouraged them to pray together as a family and also find time for a couple prayer.
We made follow-up visits and phone call checkups journeying with them in prayer, they are now united as a family.
"My marriage had a lot of issues, every day the situation would become worse, after your visit, we started praying together as you encouraged us. Peace has prevailed in my family, I have stopped beating my wife and children, when we have an issue we talk about it and then surrender it before the Lord in prayer." noted Mr. Bukenya on a Valentine’s Day Celebration.
Family Prayer for a Better World
Just like Venerable Patrick Peyton was supported by his family in prayer when he was diagnosed with a chronic T. B., Ms. Lydia Aliza a teacher in Namutumba District testifies the role of family prayer in overcoming the challenges we face in life. Prayer, as Father Patrick Peyton urges us in the adage,” Try Prayer, It Works!”, plays a pivotal role in our lives and families. We ought to embrace it wholeheartedly.
Worth noting is that God who performed the many miracles we read about in the holy scriptures, is the same God who miraculously healed Venerable Patrick Peyton from the chronic incurable T.B. then. The same God who was, who is and who is to come (Rev 1:8), He is a God who changes not (Heb 13:8). He still works wonders and miracles in our days!
Recently as Ms. Lydia Aliza was engulfed in with multiple problems such as illnesses, involvement in accidents and imprisonment of her husband over fabricated cases, she turned to God in prayer, joined by her family and prayer group members.
God has been so merciful and gracious to move us in these situations, turning the challenges into testimonies, as Lydia narrates in the video clip.
