The church has large windows and lots of light, the walls are painted white, and the image of the Virgin Mary stands out among different shades of blue; it attracts a lot of attention, especially the attention of my children. That Sunday, we found a place on a bench and sat down. Soon after, a person from the parish approached us and invited us to take the image of Mary Ever Virgin to our house to pray as a family for the whole week.
We were surprised that they chose us, but we felt that it was actually Mary who wanted to visit our home, so we were very happy and accepted. At home, we gave her a special place next to the box containing the Rosary and the guide to pray it, and every day when we prayed a mystery of the Rosary as a family, we made our petitions to her, and our children participated in everything.
Sometimes, because of so many occupations and distractions within the family, we forget about prayer, something essential for us as Christians, and although we feel the need to pray, we do not give ourselves the necessary time for it. The Virgin Mary made that time possible in our home by choosing us to take her home, and that brought peace to our family.
For us, this was an invitation from our Blessed Mother to pray. As a result of such delicacy from Our Lady, my family had special moments dedicated to Mary, who undoubtedly does not stop looking for us and wants to see families united around her son, Jesus.
