In the divine order of grace, our Blessed Mother is the new Eve, the new Mother of All the Living. Besides being the Mother and Queen of the Holy Family of God, she is also the Queen of the new Kingdom. We must lovingly accept our heavenly mother if we want to be members of that new Kingdom of Grace. Jesus fulfilled His family responsibility as a devoted son by entrusting Mary to John. Jesus gave us his mother from the cross to be our mother, too: a uniquely holy model, consoler, and intercessor.  

John took our Blessed Mother into his home, loving and being loved by her. John was able to embrace God's will till the end of his life as a result of Mother Mary's maternal care. Our Blessed Mother must also be welcomed into our hearts and embraced as our own. We will be embraced by her and pointed to her divine Son. 

"Behold your mother," Jesus says to us. Behold the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Queen of Heaven and Earth. Take advantage of her motherly guidance and care by turning to her, loving her, and accepting her care. Let her embrace us and welcome you into her heart.
