“Time poverty” is a phrase we hear frequently. It reflects the reality of a fast-paced society increasingly reliant on digital devices for communication and relationship-building. Yet within each of us lies a deep desire for connection—one that is personal and goes beyond the superficial interactions of social media.
The Father Peyton Centre in Ireland strives to foster this deeper connection, especially with the less privileged, seniors, and persons with special needs. Every Tuesday, we welcome individuals with special needs to the Centre to participate in a Eucharistic celebration. We engage in meaningful conversations, offer a listening presence, and create a sacred space that supports their spiritual growth and overall well-being. Praying together builds spiritual bonds and deepens relationships rooted in faith and compassion.

The Peyton Centre also plays a vital role in nurturing the faith of young people as they prepare for the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation. Praying with children—who will become future ambassadors of family prayer through the Rosary—is a beautiful way to guide them toward a closer relationship with God.
Children visiting the Centre are introduced to the inspiring life and mission of Holy Cross Family Ministries (HCFM). Each child receives a Rosary and is encouraged to make a personal promise to pray it within their family. These retreats offer a unique spiritual encounter that strengthens their faith and helps sow the seeds of lifelong devotion.
