October 17, 2023- Board approved a 2% increase for all sewer rental invoices in 2024 (effective December 1, 2023 with a billing date of 3/1/24). This will allow GLMJA to operate plants and collection system in a fiscally conservative manner as well as continue an on-going capital improvement schedule.

August 17th, 2023 - The Authority will be performing sewer lining and manhole maintenance throughout Green Lane Borough during the week of August 21st through the 26th.  Residents that will be directly affected will be given 24-hour notice.  Please minimize water usage during the daytime hours (8:00 am to 4:00 pm) , if possible.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call 215-368-3375.

 

December 20th, 2022 - GLMJA Board approves a 5% rate increase for 2023.

December 31st, 2021- The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is being offered by the state with assistance of up to $2,500.   GLMJA is a qualified vendor.  Overdue residents are encouraged to apply.  Please click on the following link for further information and to apply. December 21st, 2021-  GLMJA Board approves a 4% rate increase for 2022.

April 27th, 2021- Smoking of the sewer lines will start May 17 and 18th in Green Lane Borough.  The smoke is non toxic and should not enter your home unless there is a leak.  If you see smoke in your home and are concerned, please contact the work crew in your neighborhood or call or text 215-234-4180.

April 19th, 2021- The Authority will resume in person meetings starting May 17th, 2021.  For rate payers who would like to attend in person or via zoom, please contact us in advance so we can be adequately address any issues you may have.  Please email us at GLMJA3@gmail.com or call or text us at 215-234-4180 for a zoom participation link at least 2 hours before the meeting. 

March 8th, 2021- The sewer lines in Green Lane Borough will be smoked this year to look for leakage.  Before the lines will be smoked in your area, you will be notified.

February 28th, 2021- Because of the late arrival of the December invoices, there will be no penalty or finance charges assessed for late payment of the December 1st, 2020 invoice.

February  15th, 2021- Due to the continuing economic impact of the pandemic, the Board has unanimously agreed to limit the rate increase for 2021 to 2%.  While our list of lining projects, repairs, and failing equipment replacement necessitates a more substantial increase, we have budgeted the least amount of increase possible to continue operations, complete only the most critical of improvements, and to remain fiscally solvent.  We appreciate your understanding and support of GLMJA.

December 29th, 2020-  It's a Holiday miracle.  Invoices mailed on Dec 1st are finally arriving for many of our rate payers.  Due to the USPS delay, we are giving a grace period of 15 days to to Jan 15, 2021 to pay your December bill!

April 9th, 2020- We were notified by our merchant services that the online payment system was offline from April 8th-9th due to technical difficulties.  It should be back up an running now.  Our apologies if you attempted to pay your bill during this time. Please try again.

April 3rd, 2020- The board did a virtual meeting test this evening in order to prepare to meet remotely if the Corona virus situation does not allow us to meet for our regular monthly meeting on the 3rd Monday of each Month.  It was successful with the majority of the board members and partners participating.  One of our partners did test positive so we are proceeding with the utmost caution.

March 16th, 2020- Due to an abundance of caution surrounding the Corona virus, the regular monthly meeting tonight is cancelled.  Please email us or call us in the interim.

Feb 20th, 2020 - New phone service for GLMJA allows you to call AND text our office number (215-234-4180) to improve response time to our customers.

Jan 1st, 2020 - The board voted to approve a 5% rate increase which will be first seen on the 3/1/20 billing.

December 13th, 2019 - The Authority submitted a grant application for $420,000 PA Small H20 & Sewer Program. 

December 1st, 2019 - GLMJA launches new website in an effort to improve communication and services to customers.

August 1st, 2019 - New $400,000 Ultraviolet project is up and running.  The UV treatment system will save the Authority tens of thousands in chemical costs a year as well as be a more environmentally state of the art disinfection method.

July 15th, 2019 - Green Lane flooding of Macoby Creek and Perkiomen Creek costs GLMJA over $30,000 in damages.

May 1st, 2019 - GLMJA cracks down on overdue accounts.  Accounts over 90 days are in excess of $83,000 at May 1st  while non current Accounts Receivable at 12/31/2018 were reported at over $53,000.
