November 19, 2025- Board by majority vote approved an approximate 4% increase for all sewer rental invoices for 2026 invoice dates (3/1, 6/1, 9/1, 12/1) with the effective date of December 1, 2025 (and thru November 30, 2026). This, along with a 2.25 million capital improvement loan and grant procurement in 2026 will allow GLMJA to operate plants and collection system in a fiscally conservative manner as well as continue an aggressive capital improvement schedule. Capital Improvement loan costs exceed 15k monthly for principal repayment and interest (which commenced in October 2025). That expense in addition to our professional partner's rate increases, averaging 4%, necessitates this increase. Cost and expense control plans are in place to hopefully avoid this size of an increase in the future.
