A sewer inspection is required by local ordinance before a property can legally transfer. Both Green Lane Borough and Marlborough Township have adopted sewer ordinances. Inspections must be done prior to a sewer certification being issued. We request at least 3 weeks before closing to insure ample time for the inspection and repairs. The inspection cost is $200 per inspection, and the certification cost is $100.
A $50 permit fee and subsequent $200 inspection is required for a lateral repair, and must be completed using our current specifications and requirements.
For a new connection the tapping fee is $5,842.15 if available.
Please email office@glmja.org for an inspection request form and other information regarding the process (as soon as your property is for sale, but no later than the date of a sales agreement), a lateral repair permit application (before any work has been started), or a new connection application and availability of same.
