The GP collaborative meet regularly to plan Pride and associated events. We also participate in and contribute to events and event planning in the wider Glastonbury community.
We always welcome fresh contributions from those who align with the Glastonbury Pride Mission statement.
If you:
Have ideas you would like to contribute.
Have skills, resources or assets to share.
Would like to be party of the team "on the ground" making Pride welcoming, safe and smooth-running
Or if you would just like to come along and see what it's all about - Please check out our Facebook for details of the next meeting, or send us an email.
Glastonbury Pride is organised by a small team of dedicated volunteers.
The core team meet regularly to take care of the planning and organisation of the day, manage the finances and admin, book activities and make sure the day runs smoothly and safely. We act on consensus and no individual has the power or responsibility to act, speak or make decisions under the name of Glastonbury Pride.
Our steward team help out on the day, when we need more hands on deck, helping people find their way, looking after our performers, supporting stall holders and getting the march underway.
Anyone can be part of our team, if you feel you can contribute towards creating a joyful, welcoming, supportive Pride, reach out and we can help you find your place.
Sponsoring Glastonbury Pride is a way for local businesses to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
As a valued local business, your support can make a real difference. By partnering with us, you’ll not only be helping to create a vibrant and inclusive celebration for the community, but also showing both locals and visitors that your business proudly supports diversity, inclusion, and equality.
It is also incredibly important that LGBTQ+ people know where the safe and supportive spaces in Glastonbury are. By supporting Pride, you help us clearly show members of the community where they are welcomed and valued. All of our sponsors will be included in the Sponsors section of our website, helping LGBTQ+ people easily find businesses that proudly support them.
The GP team engage in outreach with local community organisations and businesses throughout the year. We will gladly support any potential sponsors in making their organisation, venue or business more inclusive.
