We have openings for Ph.D positions in our group. Highly Motivated M.Sc. students from Chemistry and its sub-discipline background are encouraged to contact Dr. Jayamurugan
Students joining for Ph.D. can be registered at IISER, Mohali or Panjab University depending on his/her wish. But the entire course and research work would be conducted purely at INST, Mohali.
Students with an independent fellowship, such as CSIR or UGC JRF-NET/ DST-INSPIRE, are encouraged to apply for a Ph.D. Position in my research group anytime throughout the year.
Research Area Available for the students to choose: Functional organic/inorganic hybrid nano materials, Catalysis, Sensors, Polymer chemistry, Supramolecular Chemistry, Drug delivery and Nanotherapeutics, etc.
The research in my group is centered on synthetic organic chemistry with a view to exploring nanoporous and nanomaterials for various types of applications ranging from energy, catalysis, sensing, and Nanotherapeutics. Thus, it is highly interdisciplinary in nature. The general strategy of our research is designing and synthesizing the functional nanomaterials with targeted applications and understanding the properties by applying state-of-the-art characterization techniques.
