My name is Tracy Ly and I am a 19 year-old sophomore of Stanford University. My hobbies include public speaking, playing tennis, and cheerleading. I also enjoy sharing passions with my peers through organizations like the Stanford Vietnamese Student Association and Stanford Synapse!
Growing up in an immigrant family, I quickly learned about the strife of millions of Vietnamese townsfolk struggling to live in my parents’ home country. My parents were also affected by the poverty crisis before they had the chance to settle in America, the land of opportunity. Knowing this, I could not resist taking action any further. Because these individuals are underrepresented on the world stage, I will do everything I can to amplify their voices.
I have a caring team who sees the impact this project can bring. Together with your help and contributions, we will target areas of extreme poverty and poor health to help alleviate poverty and bring awareness to the next generation of impact seekers here in the U.S. Through this project, I hope to devise sustainable solutions to the destructive sources of poverty in developing countries around the world.
