E. Coli Results:
I counted three different colonies of E. Coli in my bag. Also because the gel was diluted by ten I multiplied the three colonies by ten and got thirty as my final number of E. Coli.

When I entered my site I was very suprised by how much it had changed since the last time I was there. It was a nice sunny day but the water was higher then usual and I couldn't see the rock structures that I was used to seeing in the water. The space also seemed to have gotten bigger overall but that could have been my imagination. I did notice some trash lying around, but it was likely brought there by the recent flooding in the area. While I was there I could hear what sounded like construction machinery working off in the direction of the cornfield but I had no idea what they could be doing. But the overall feeling around the river was nice. I encountered a lot of people with their dogs as I was doing my testing and it was nice seeing people out and about enjoying the water. I also got to see a mother duck with a trail of little ducklings behind her going for a swim not to far from where I was. The sun was out and it wasn't to hot which was very nice and that contributed to a great first sampling day.
