Universal design for learning (UDL), is a set of learning design principles that help reduce barriers and allow for different sorts of access for all types of learners.
I will be presenting with 6 different tech tools to make learning more accessible to everyone by not only simplifying the language, but by chunking the text, relaying the information via video, and also helping students visually.

In this format I chose to write out the instructions for this recipe (using the Popplet app) in a step by step process. Using a written format for learning can be great for students that prefer this method of representation. It allows for a learner to refer back, take notes, and follow step by step instructions, lessons or material given to them.

In this means of learning I chose to offer students a way of listening to the instructions via an audio format. A great option for students that may struggle with reading and writting and prefer to express themselves or learn orally.

Using the Google extension 'Read and Write' I was able to show how simply highlighting a word or phrase (or entire recipe) can be used as assistive technology for students and educators. This is a great tool for learners just learning to read, ESL students or possibly even learners with visual impairment.
Multimedia is an excellent tool to show lessons plans, and even your work as a student. It allows for creativity, and is engaging and a clear way to show expectations. This is a great tool to show action and expression.
