This is valuable for individuals with low vision, a photo on the page can be described to them
A great option through YouTube to be able to closed caption any transcripts to compliments any audio that an individual may miss, or can not hear, providing a text dialogue in the video footage.
Contrast is a very important aspect that is associated with text readability and accessibility. Also keeping the font simple and the same throughout my webpage, allows for no surprises and an easier read.
Descriptions of photos are necessary and valuable, because there is additional room for information for the user. Allowing for Voice Notes as a descriptions also enables the user to hear the same information without having to read it (for low vision, or on the go individuals)
Having ASL videos on a web page reduces barriers if there are YouTube videos that require them to read off of captions. This is a more inclusive way, and also allows these individuals to truly see expression vs having to read it.
This is valuable because it take any guess work out of where a user should click, and what they are clicking on. The minimalist on my pages that direct a user to another site are quite clear, and the user is easily directed to the link by simply clicking on the large icons.
The reason I used infographs on some of my pages, is it allows for another way for a student or user to see what I am showing them. If a transcript or a YouTube video doesn't work for them, this is an alternate way of showing information.
