Gite Features

Bedroom - Spacious room with Double Bed (not old french mattress) with a beamed ceiling leading to modern bathroom. Walk-in wardrobe with more than enough space for half a dozen Ryanair travellers. There is a double USB charging point close to the bed as well as a double English socket, so no need to bring an adaptor.

WiFi

WiFi access is via the main house router, a router repeater is installed. You will be provided with a Pass Code. This is located in the front of the information pack in the Gite

Parking

Ample parking to the rear of the Gite.

The Gite is all electric and the main house has an array of photovoltaic cells generating electricity. We generate a lot more than we use each year.

Bathroom - Features a large walk-in shower, basin and toilet which has been completely modernised. Good view as well!

Kitchen - Ample work surface with built in ceramic hob, breakfast bar, microwave/grill, refrigerator with ice box and loads of cupboard space.

Living Area - Is open plan with the kitchen area and features a settee, coffee table and ambient lighting and leads out through large bi-fold doors to the patio. There is also a stereo loudspeaker set to plug into your media player.

Patio - is a 16 sq. M decking which features a 6ft diameter wine barrel plunge pool overlooking the Aude valley with views of the Montagne Noire and beyond. Adjacent are numerous olive trees. Lie back on the sun loungers or cool off in the plunge pool and drink a glass of local Rosé (€8 for 5 Litres!!!) or two!

Olive Trees

The Gite has a number of olive trees close by that are actively used in producing my own olives for eating and oil.

Village

Just a short 2 minute walk away!!

Walking

Down the drive, up the small hill and you can walk all day as far as you want through the vineyards and along the Canal du Midi. Take a picnic or stop at numerous restaurants along the canal.

Cycling

There are ample cycle routes, the Canal du Midi towpath being a very obvious one. If you prefer mountain biking then we are not short of them either. Have a look at Mellow Vélos for Cycle Hire.

Barbeque - Outdoor charcoal barbeque for cooking local delicacies e.g. duck breasts or perhaps a range of local seafood.
