The World Day of Geographic Information Systems was held in the Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Regional State Administration's meeting hall, which discussed issues related to the development of the river potential of the Kyiv region. Ideas and projects were presented and the issue of their implementation was discussed.
The organizers of the event were: Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky District State Administration, Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky City Council; GI "The root of the nation", NGO "Old Dnepr", GIS-Association of Ukraine, Trubizh water management in Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky; NEES "Pereyaslav", TRC "Alta", "Business Pereyaslav", "Herald of Pereyaslavl".

The year 2018 was declared the Year of Cultural Heritage in the European Union. Ukraine did not stay away from the processes. Within the framework of the project "Tourist routes of Pereyaslav", by means of an open competition, six joint territorial communities or small cities will be selected for the implementation of pilot cultural start-ups connected with cultural heritage, the realization of which will promote further cultural and economic development of the territories.
With the help of modern GIS technologies, creative industries museums, prominent objects and acting reproduction of historical events, as well as the life of prominent figures of Ukraine, organizers of the festival, the Program of development of tourist routes and locations of the Pereyaslav district
