If you've only had store bought garlic or minced garlic in a jar....then you're in for a real treat!

We grow heirloom, hardneck garlic which has a more complex flavor. Most store bought garlic is imported from China, not to mention selected for long storage life rather than flavor. Many of our garlic bulbs have fewer, but much larger cloves which makes peeling an easier task. Larger cloves are also great for roasting. Not only is our garlic good in taste, but at our farm we select varieties which tend to have higher levels of allicin, the compound that gives garlic its numerous health benefits.

Garlic is available from late Summer though Winter. We also have garlic scapes available in June.

As always, we grow using organic principles, which mean all natural elements (like compost, blood meal, and fish meal) for fertilizer and hand weeding and mulching instead of chemical herbicides and pesticides.
