Gentle moisturizers should be applied after a shower on damp skin to prevent irritation, and used on dry skin throughout the day.
Hypoallergenic, fragrance-free lotions are the best!
Anything with petroleum jelly / mineral oils can soothe the skin (like Vaseline!). High-oil moisturizers would seal in the moisture!
Topical steroids as prescribed can calm flare-ups
Anti-inflammatory medicines / antihistamines can reduce itchiness
This can remove blemishes caused by eczema.
Add bath oils and baking soda to your bath. These will relieve itching and keep you moisturized.
For severe flare-ups, add salt or vinegar as antimicrobial remedies to reduce stinging.
Use gentle cleansers instead of bar soaps!
