Not yet, but one is being built.  Gilbert Regional Park is a multi phased developement.  Ultimately the park will cost around $100 million when totally completed. The city of Gilbert has leased some of the land to Cactus Surf Park to build a 25 acre water park to be enjoyed as part of the park. Current plans are for the water park to be opening in 2024.  Cactus Surf park is still being developed but the plan is for the water park to include the following activities: Surf Lagoon, Water Park, Sand Beach, Restaurant, Restrooms, Cabanas, Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, Kids Splash Pad, Banquet Rooms for conferences and birthday parties, yoga rooms and yoga classes.

The surf lagoon will have on demand waves where the size and consistency of the waves can be controlled.  The idea is to bring some of the ideal surfing conditions of East Cape Baja to the desert of Arizona.

The park does already currently have a large splash pad area.  The splash pad is a perfect way for families and kids to stay cool during the hotter summer months.

Yes, the park has numerous pickle ball courts and on some weekends even host pickle ball tournaments that you can register for.  The courts have lights so you can enjoy playing at night or during the day, whatever fits your schedule.  The courts are first come first serve.  Once they are full then you can rotate in after each game with the other people that are there to play. Be sure to bring your own pickle ball rackets and balls.

Yes, there are several cull court sport court basketball courts.  They have nice rims and lights overhead so you can play after the sunsets as well.  Making it a great late night option during the hot summer nights. Be sure to bring your own basketball.

Yes, there are six beach volleyball courts.  Similar to the other courts they are first come first serve.  Once full then teams should rotate in after each game to ensure everyone can have a chance to play.  Common kindness can go a long way to ensure everyone gets to enjoy the volleyb all courts.  Once nice things, is that the courts have a sprinklers that you can easily turn on to help keep the sand cool.  This is especially helpful during the hot summer months when the sand can become too hot to walk on. Be sure to bring your own volleyball.  The courts are there but you need to bring your own volleyball.

Yes the park does have six Tennis courts.  Same rules as the other sport courts.  First come first serve. Rotate after each game when people are waiting to play, and be sure to brign your own tennis racket and tennis balls.

In terms of reviews.  I currently give Gilbert Regional Park a 5 out of 5 stars.  That is simply based on the completion of phase #1.  When the additional phases are also complete this park will be one of the nicest and largest parks in America.  So many of the local HOA's already have smaller but quality parks.  This helps minimize the crowds and makes Gilbert Az an incredible place for families to live.  As I mentioned in my google maps review of the park, my wife and I love to come and play pickle ball.  We have been able to meet other Gilbert residents and enjoy so many wonderful conversations.  Add in a little bit of competition and good fun and Gilbert Regional park is one of our favorite places to regularly go.
