ABOUT ME

I was born in our neighboring country, Costa Rica, but after a few months I moved to Panama. It is then, in the province of Bocas del Toro where I spent my childhood and teenage years. There I spent amazing years with family and friends. Although it was nice to live there, I had to move to the city when I turned 18 to be able to continue my university studies because in the province of Bocas del toro, the academic offer is limited. I have been living in the city for several years now, and I have been able to adapt to the change. I can even say that I love living in the city more than the town. On the other hand, about me I can say that I am a very responsible and dedicated person, who always tries to be kind to his environment. I have then different hobbies that mainly help me to relax and be creative.

The Consecutive Interp ESEN is a subject that has as objective to practice different techniques of translations while the interpreter is attentively listening.

CAT Computer Assisted Translation

CAT Computer Assisted Translation is a subject that has as objective to practice different techniques of translations with computer assistance.

Question 01

Interpretation skills involve having the ability to be able to correctly render and understand the message of the original language and translate it into the target language without having omissions, or additions and also without distorting or changing the original message. So, translators have the great task of being the medium of message delivery and how good they are, and how well their skills are developed, will allow the message to be translated effectively and correctly.

Question 02

As for me, I would like to be able to improve my skills in order to be a good translator and help others to convey their messages. I would personally like to have the experience of participating in different types of events where my skills will be of great help in rendering translations, and after several years I would like to be able to use my great experience to be a teacher and thus help in the formation of future high quality translators.
