Bio

I am currently a Doctoral candidate in the Department of Economics at York University in the vibrant and multicultural city of Toronto, Canada. My research interests span Macroeconomics, Industrial Organization, Labour Economics, Health  Economics, Growth and Development Economics.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Economics from York University. Before joining York, I completed the coursework for the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Economics at the University of Ghana, Legon (UG). My academic journey began at Labone Senior High School in Ghana, where my passion for economics was ignited. This led me to pursue a degree in Economics at the University of Ghana Legon (UG), where I graduated with First class honors in 2019.  

After graduating, I served as a Teaching Assistant in the Economic Department at UG during my National Service, which further inspired me to pursue an academic career. This path led me into the  MPhil Economics program at UG and later the Graduate Application International Network (GAIN) program, where Professor Erin Accampo Hern of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University mentored me. This mentorship facilitated my transition to York University for my MA in Economics in 2022. 

Currently, I am a PhD candidate at York University, where I also serve as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Economics. My prior roles included a Graduate Assistantship during my MPhil studies at UG and a Teaching Assistantship at York University during my MA program.
