Coniferon (Large) Emotionally Complex Migrants
Habitats: Any
Territorial: No
Diet: N/A
Nesting Season: Fall, Famine
Nesting Grounds: Swamp
Solo/Pack creature (3 max)
Important notes:
-HEALING HUNTER: Use only on packmates outside of combat only during the night
-Males are solo, females can live in packs of up to 3 individuals
-Obligatory eldering after spending 6 seasons as an adult
-Migrates to Swamp during Fall, leaving once Sakura arrives
-Nocturnal wanderers (Can travel during the day at the start/ending of nesting season)
-Monogamous (will not get another mate once the first one dies)
Description: With gorgeous, but extremely prickly fur, Coniferons are a sight to behold if one is lucky enough to encounter them, wandering the terrains of Sonaria when the sun has long set. Long ribbon-like appendages flow with the wind, the bells of a matriarch producing beautiful music in the dark scenery, with many others following her steps, accompanying her melody. Lone, elder males often glance at the sky, their fanned legs releasing sweet scents to their surroundings as they march.
Behavior: Nocturnal beings that are rarely seen past sunrise, Coniferons are known to be fairly empathetic of creatures. Thanks to the knowledge of their healing touch, any creature that goes out of its way to plea for help will be healed; however, these travelers also possess impressive memory banks, and it's quite common that they hold grudges and refuse to aid any who has hurt them or their loved ones. Ritualists, Coniferons have developed a custom for whenever they stumble across corpses, in which they will circle said corpse and bellow at the sky before proceeding with their journeys. These customs are often performed by herds-the matriarch (the oldest female) leads said rite by making as much noise as she can with her bells. While females remain in herds, young males will instinctively separate on their own once young adulthood is reached, becoming loners until mating season. Despite lacking natural aggression, Coniferons will display their extremely prickly fur to predators, fleeing if such action doesn’t work.
Mates and “Sprouts”: Once Fall arrives, both herds and solitary males will turn and start walking towards Swamp, whether it may be day or night when such season takes place. Upon arrival, Coniferons will greet one another by bowing in respect. Being monogamous, an encounter between paired Coniferons will induce a dance between both individuals where they will brush their necks against each other as a show of affection. Once settled, each couple will give birth to a single “Sprout”. Sprouts are highly social and playful with others of their age, and it’s a common occurrence that sprouts will find their lifelong mates during their childhood, same gender pairings aren’t a rare sight either due to this factor. Coniferons that have lost their mate will mourn but take care of all sprouts as if they’re their own.

Cryptoth (Large) Passive Unless Provoked
Habitats: Pride Rocks, Redwoods, Flower Cove
Territorial: No (Highly during Fall and Mystic)
Diet: Plants
Nesting Season: Any
Nesting Grounds: Within territory
Solo creature (Unless with Tiny-2 herbivores)
Important Notes:
-Gives other Cryptoths fruit
-Befriends small herbivores, but does not defend them
-Never attacks unless in self-defense
-Only aims to make threat flee, not to kill
Description: Cryptoth is a large, herbivorous creature that resembles both sloths and deer. Typical Cryptoth coloration is a striking mix of yellow, dark red-orange, bright purple, and black. They stand out among plants but are rarely preyed upon by smaller carnivores. Their brighter markings serve as a reminder that Cryptoth carry mildly toxic and disorienting saliva as a self-defense mechanism. Cryptoth venom also bears with it the potential to severely weaken those that threaten it.
Behavior: Despite their brutish appearance, Cryptoth are docile to a shocking extent most of the year. They typically give each other fruit and exchange nuzzles when they do run into each other, and can be seen befriending small herbivores almost year-round, albeit refusing to defend the smaller creatures should they be attacked. Large predators are challenged with aggressive gestures until they leave, but never attacked unless in self-defense. The Cryptoth will resume normal activity when threats have been dealt with.
Seasonal Aggression: Cryptoth are normally docile throughout most of the year, but when the time comes, Fall and Mystic, Cryptoth become defensive and almost aggressive over their territory and friends. These are the only times of the year when they are aggressive in any right outside of predator encounters. Their aggression fades at the end of each season.
Wisp’s Curse / Venom: Cryptoth’s saliva is laced with venom and works on making potential threats vulnerable since they almost only bite in self-defense. It makes the offending creature more vulnerable to Cryptoth’s bite, weakening its ability to heal off the venom. Cryptoth does not aim to kill when it bites, only to make predators and other threats to itself flee.

Felikxtrox (Large) Grumpy Family Grazers
Habitats: Redwoods, Jungle, Desert
Territorial: Highly
Diet: Plants
Nesting Season: Winter, Famine
Nesting Grounds: Jungle, Redwoods Caves, Central Rockfaces Caves
Family creature (2 adults, 2 children max)
Important Notes:
-HARDEN: Use only when below 50% HP
-Do not kill other creatures impeding on your space, only attack & chase out if they refuse to leave
- Highly protective/territorial of family members, especially offspring
Description: Large tough herbivores, Felikxtrox are equipped with incredibly hard, thorny keratin plates, rendering them highly resilient to attacks. They also unusually possess two types of teeth: piercing teeth in the front that can easily shred flesh as they wish, and hind grinding teeth intended for chewing plants efficiently. Felikxtrox are notable for their irritable and avoidant personalities, but on the other hand, they are incredibly family-oriented creatures and just prefer keeping to their own species. These beasts form unbreakable bonds and live in monogamous pairs that can last a lifetime.
Behavior: Feliktrox prioritize their families and thus end up pushing other creatures out of spaces when they feel as though they must occupy them; this goes for food, water holes, dens, and even mud patches. When faced with a threat, a Felikxtrox forms a “wall” with its partner to block predators from attacking their young. Only when the predator flees out of sight will the Felikxtrox lets its guard down. However, Felikxtrox have surprisingly good memory and often remember the faces of its enemies.
Nesting: Being semi-migratory, Felikxtrox are typically sedentary but travel to their nesting grounds upon the onset of Winter. Families carefully incubate eggs throughout the frosty season so that 1-2 eggs are ready to hatch in Mystic. Felikxtrox accompany up to two offspring at any time; whether the young were born together or have a significant age gap between them does not matter. All Felikxtrox eventually leave their parents upon reaching adulthood in hopes of finding their own mate.
Group Love: Due to the healing properties of their thunderous heartbeat, Felikxtrox form “piles” on top of an injured family member to assist their recovery. They also display this behavior when sleeping together in their dens, rendering them rather lazy. When Felikxtrox are snoozing together, they may allow small avian species to peck parasites out from between their armor plates.

Heiboktoruk (Large) Ruthless Sneaky Raptors
Habitats: Jungle, Tundra, Flower Cove
Territorial: Highly
Diet: Hunted Meat, Scavenged Meat, Eggs
Nesting Season: Summer, Spring, Mystic
Nesting Grounds: Jungle
Pair creature
Important Notes:
-EGG STEALER: Use at any time (do not take eggs from the same creature twice in a row)
-Highly favors high areas (especially trees) to hunt/ambush from
Description: Furry and mean, Heiboktoruks are raptors who were designed to bring chaos over every creature it sees. It’s powerful legs and long, sharp claws allow it to climb even the steepest terrain, and is even capable of hanging completely upside down to fool even the smartest prey. Its horn allow it to apply the deadliest status effects to kill prey effectively. Heiboks fur allows it to stay in lower temperature areas with ease, but strongly dislikes Desert as it can overheat Heibok easily.
Behavior: Heiboks love to terrorize any creature it sees. They see it almost as a game, a game that is almost impossible to win from the other side. They can be seen jumping from trees or even simply from bigger bushes to scare even the tiniest most helpless critter. Any way that scares the creatures, Heibok will do it. Heiboks live in pairs to maximize the terror. Although it may not look like it from the outside, as the pairs can even be seen harassing each other from time to time, they have the strongest, most twisted bonds imaginable. Unfortunately for other creatures, the way they like to scare other creatures and the way they hunt them is exactly the same. They can also be seen kidnapping children especially, threatening to kill their mother if they choose to leave, and eventually dropping them back where they belong after the pair is done. Whether they hunt or simply scare entirely depends on how hungry the pair of Heiboks are at the time.
Mating and Nesting: When it comes to pairs, they can be any gender, whether it’s male-female pairs or same gender pairs. But for nesting, it is required that they have a male and a female. If same-gender pairs want to nest they need a temporary surrogate (two females need a male, two males need a female) to provide an egg. After nesting in 1 child, the pair will take care of their baby Heibok fairly well, with the occasional harassment like dropping their child from a high ledge to teach them how to land on their feet or biting them to improve their reaction speed so they are able to dodge before being bitten again. After the child turns into an adult, the parents will forcefully remove their child and is then simply seen as another creature.

Pliarys (Large) Tanky and Skittish
Habitats: Redwoods, Volcano, Desert
Territorial: Mildly (Only while packing)
Diet: Plants
Nesting Season: Any
Nesting Grounds: Redwoods
Family creature (3 adults max)
Important Notes:
- CRYSTAL BREATH: only use defensively and when solo as a last resort
- MUD PLACER: To be used when badly hurt or when alone to hide your scent
- Prefer to flee when alone, and only defend themselves when in a pack
- Nomadic, with a small territory around wherever they are
- Usually do not mind smaller creatures/carnivores unless attacked
- NEVER chase predators that back off or give up in their attack
Description: Pliarys are large herbivores common in certain areas of southern Sonaria. As adults, they prefer open habitats, whereas younger individuals and those who are caring for their children prefer to stay in the relative safety of the redwood forest, where they are shielded from larger predators. Their height allows them to detect predators from afar, and gives them access to vegetation that is out of reach for other herbivores. The many “crystals'' covering the creature’s body are actually thick layers of bone that are slowly deposited as the creature ages, and store important minerals such as calcium and phosphorus.
Behavior: They are quite calm creatures, and their small herds usually prefer to stay away from other creatures (even tiny and small) whenever possible. They do not attack other creatures unless attacked first, and only when in a pack - lone Pliarys are incredibly skittish, fleeing from even the smallest creatures, and attack only if cornered. They do not like to stay in one place for too long, especially if there are creatures nearby. Their packs usually do not mind smaller creatures around them, and smaller herbivores may seek protection by staying close to their herds. Their small herds are mostly active at night, utilizing their four well-developed eyes to see in low light environments.
Families: Pliarys herds are made up of a single mated pair and their young. Occasionally one of their children may choose to remain with them to help care for their younger brothers and sisters, but calves are typically forced out of the herd once they reach adulthood. Once they are thrown out, the young adults will seek a mate and attempt to start a herd of their own.
