What is a Construction Teamster?
It is difficult to pin down exactly what a Construction Teamster does because they do so much. They are tasked with getting people and materials from Point A to Point B safely and efficiently. Teamsters operate vehicles such as belly dumps, end dumps, articulating end-dumps, rock buggies, mixer trucks, water trucks, boom trucks, crew bus, forklifts, fuel trucks, and other kinds of vehicles used in the construction of industrial and commercial facilities, dams, airports, highways, and roads. Teamsters can also work in the sand, gravel, cement, and asphalt industries.
We are only of only four construction driving apprenticeship programs in the United States. Our training center is equipped with all most recent technology that today's professional drivers need to be safe and efficient.
How Can I Prepare?
It is absolutely critical that applicants have a clean driving history. Individuals who already possess a commercial driver's license (CDL) are preferable. Applicants should have a solid foundation of math and english. Written and verbal communication skills are essential.
