This project is an online learning module designed to introduce French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teachers to the use of Artificial Intelligence in lesson planning. The goal of the course is to help teachers understand how AI tools can support planning, creativity, efficiency, and reflection in their professional practice.
The project focuses on Module 1, which introduces three key AI tools:
ChatGPT
MagicSchool AI
Gamma AI
The module demonstrates my instructional design approach, including the structure of a digital learning experience, the integration of interactive elements, and the practical application of AI tools in teacher training.
The module was developed in Articulate Rise as a short microlearning experience that includes quizzes, scenarios, and guided reflection activities.
Many teachers are interested in AI but:
Feel overwhelmed by the tools
Are unsure how to apply them pedagogically
Lack structured training on ethical and practical classroom use
This module addresses this gap by providing:
A clear introduction to AI tools
Concrete classroom applications
Guided reflection through a learning journal
French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teachers
Educators working with adult learners
Teachers interested in AI and digital innovation
Professional development and training contexts
By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
Identify key Artificial Intelligence tools that can support French language lesson planning.
Generate practical teaching materials using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Magic School AI, and Gamma AI.
Evaluate AI-generated content for relevance and appropriateness in a French as a Foreign Language (FLE) learning context.
Apply AI tools to enhance lesson planning, creativity, and instructional efficiency.
I created this microlearning module by first identifying a common challenge faced by French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teachers: understanding how to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence tools into lesson planning. I defined the learning goals of the module and structured the experience as a short, focused microlearning lesson introducing three AI tools—ChatGPT, MagicSchool AI, and Gamma AI.
I then designed the learning flow to include a combination of short content sections and interactive elements, such as quizzes, scenarios, and carousel exploration, to support engagement and active learning. Using Articulate Rise, I developed the module and organized the content into clear, manageable sections to guide learners through the introduction of each AI tool.
To support application and reflection, I created a guided learner workbook that encourages teachers to experiment with AI prompts and document ideas for integrating these tools into their own teaching practice. Finally, I reviewed and tested the module to ensure that the activities, interactions, and learning flow provided a clear and practical learning experience for educators exploring AI in lesson planning.
The module was developed using principles aligned with the ADDIE instructional design model, including analysis of learner needs, structured content sequencing, and formative knowledge checks.
I designed and developed this project as:
Instructional Designer
Content Designer
Curriculum Designer
AI-integration lead
Learning experience designer
A guided reflection workbook designed to help teachers document their learning and apply AI tools in their lesson planning.
A reflection linking to a padlet
A reflection activity where teachers compare their lesson planning process before and after integrating AI tools.
Interactive flashcards introducing key AI concepts to build foundational understanding before tool exploration.
A process-based activity that guides teachers to explore how AI can support each step of their lesson planning.
