Speaker Session on "How to Crack Interviews"

Renowned IAS officer, Shri Bhupesh Chaudhary, graced our college with an enlightening speaker session on "How to Crack Interviews." Smart India Hackathon 2023 Winner

SMART INDIA HACKATHON WINNER

 MahaDevs from GGSIPU East Campus achieved triumph at Smart India Hackathon 2023, excelling in addressing the SIH1500 problem statement, "Smart Education for Specially Abled Students," by the Government of Jharkhand. The groundbreaking project, "Saksham," marks a revolutionary leap in the education of differently-abled individuals.  The team consisted of Taniska Jha, Shubh Sardana, Chaitanya Rai, Aditya Singh, Ayush Gupta and Vansh Goel from USAR.

This victory underscores the team's technical prowess and unwavering dedication to tackling societal challenges through pioneering solutions. "Saksham" represents a significant advancement, showcasing the commitment to fostering inclusive education. This success not only highlights expertise in innovative technology but also affirms our mission to make a positive impact on society through transformative and accessible educational solutions.

NSS Blood Donation Drive

The NSS blood donation drive and march held on December 14, 2023, witnessed overwhelming participation and success. The morning began with an impactful awareness talk, emphasizing the significance of blood donation. Subsequently, a march was organised across the campus to further spread awareness. The event saw a remarkable turnout, with approximately 80 compassionate students generously contributing to the noble cause by donating blood. The collective effort showcased the strength and compassion within our community, leaving a positive and enduring impact for years to come.

Viksit Bharat Inauguration

The faculty, students, and non-teaching staff of East Delhi Campus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, actively participated in the inauguration of the Viksit Bharat mission. Demonstrating a sincere spirit of engagement, the GGSIPU community united to endorse Viksit Bharat@2047—an initiative aligned with the Government of India's vision to elevate the nation to developed status by 2047.

NSS Clean & Green Drive

~9th Decemeber 2023

The Clean and Green Drive at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, East Delhi campus, organized by the NSS Unit - USAR on December 9, 2023, commenced with enthusiasm at 11:00 AM near the canteen area. Beyond enhancing the campus's aesthetic appeal, the event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and environmental consciousness among students. Participants actively engaged in clean-up activities, addressing immediate issues like litter and pollution while fostering a long-term commitment to environmental stewardship. 


Led by NSS Unit Head Abhishek Garg, Disha Verma, Diya Tyagi, Prawag Prajapati, and guided by teacher coordinators Prof. Ashish Joshi, Dr. Subhash Nimanpure, Dr. Nanki Nath, the teams, equipped with masks and gloves, undertook cleaning and maintaining green areas for an hour. Afterward, the dedicated volunteers received refreshments and commemorative t-shirts, marking the successful conclusion of the event.

Cyber Security Workshop

The ACM and ACM-Women workshop on "Cyber Security: Importance And Prospects". Dr Rahul Johari, Branch Head, ACM Chapter welcomed the guest : Mr Rohit Rajput from IBM and  distinguished speakers Nidhi Bansal and Rajni Bagga who demystified cybersecurity, stressing its daily relevance, dispelling AI replacement myths, and addressing major threats.

She shared practical strategies and insights into the field. Bagga delved into cybersecurity's role in the automotive sector, discussing challenges and encouraging interactive participation. The workshop provided invaluable knowledge, insights, and career guidance, leaving attendees empowered and inspired to navigate the dynamic digital landscape with confidence. Overall, the event was informative, engaging, and impactful.

Donation Drive

~6th to 7th Decemeber 2023

PERCEPTIONS the publication club organized GGSIPU EDC’s first-ever Donation Drive in collaboration with the NGO Asha Bhawan on the campus from December 6th to 7th 2023. The members united for a cause that goes beyond technology, spreading warmth and kindness in the spirit of giving.

With generous contributions from students and faculty, we gathered essential items to support those in need. Heartwarming moments were shared as our team worked tirelessly to collect, organize, and contribute to Asha Bhawan. All the collected items were passed on to Asha Bhawan on the 7th of December, handed over by our honorable dean Prof. Arvinder Kaur.

Tree Plantation Drive

The Nature’s Club of GGSIPU EDC organised ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ in the University campus.The event commenced with the meticulous planting of diverse saplings, strategically chosen for their environmental impact. Emphasis was placed on ensuring proper watering methods to facilitate optimal growth.What set this drive apart was the remarkable turnout; over 100 attendees actively engaged in the hands-on initiative.

Participants displayed commendable enthusiasm, with many bringing their own saplings, reflecting a deepened commitment to ecological responsibility. In addition to the tangible impact on the environment, the drive fostered a sense of community among participants.

Visit to India Mobile Congress

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, East Delhi Campus, recently spearheaded a proactive initiative, orchestrating a visit for approximately 50 students and faculty members to the illustrious India Mobile Congress (IMC). This strategic move aimed to expose participants to a wealth of insights, technological advancements, and networking opportunities within the Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT) sector.

The IMC, a pinnacle event in the realm of technology, was inaugurated by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a beacon of innovation and progress, the Congress provided a comprehensive platform, transcending traditional boundaries and immersing attendees in the forefront of technological evolution.

At the heart of the Congress were cutting-edge innovations that set the stage for the future of TMT. Participants had the unique opportunity to witness firsthand the latest advancements, ideas, and trends shaping the industry. The event became a hub for fostering collaborations, where industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts converged, creating an environment conducive to the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

Azintek'2023

Azintek²³, the tech extravaganza, marked an exhilarating and celebration of innovation, knowledge, and collaborative efforts that defined the tech landscape throughout the year. Attendees were immersed in a dynamic environment as they explored the latest trends, experiences, and technological advancements.

It was not just a farewell to the year but a celebration of the achievements and advancements that defined 2023. The diverse experiences, impactful collaborations, and mesmerizing performances collectively created an immersive environment, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees. 

IPU Health Mela'2023

~5th to 10th October 2023

In commemoration of its vibrant Silver Jubilee, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) organized a spectacular IPU Health Mela at the iconic Talkatora Stadium, spanning from October 5th to October 10th. This health extravaganza was more than just an event; it was a festival that unfolded right from the inauguration until the valedictory ceremony.

The occasion was graced by distinguished guests hailing from various fields of work, creating an atmosphere of celebration and enlightenment. A dedicated team of skilled doctors added a touch of expertise to the health mela, ensuring that the attendees received comprehensive insights into their well-being. The health fair wasn't merely a serious affair; it incorporated a range of activities and sessions aimed at both education and entertainment. From insightful knowledge-sharing sessions to lively dances and thought-provoking street plays, the IPU Health Mela engaged visitors in a holistic manner.

A noteworthy aspect of the mela was its emphasis on critical issues such as mental health and awareness about curable and incurable diseases. Talks and discussions held during the event served as a valuable platform to disseminate information and foster a sense of responsibility towards one's health.

Adding another layer of excitement, the prelims of Anugoonj, the university's biggest cultural festival, took place amidst the health mela. Over 100 colleges participated, creating a vibrant cultural tapestry. The audience experienced a dual enjoyment, gaining health awareness while witnessing the vivacious cultural prelims.

The 5-day span of the event was truly joyous, leaving a lasting impression on both participants and the audience. It was a well-coordinated, sensitizing, and enjoyable affair that showcased the university's ability to go beyond boundaries in organizing impactful events.

With the IPU Health Mela, GGSIPU demonstrated its commitment to holistic well-being and community engagement. The event served as a testament to the university's capacity to organize well-managed, sensitizing, and enjoyable gatherings that transcend the traditional boundaries of academia. As the curtains closed on this grand affair, it became clear that GGSIPU's potential knows no bounds, and its commitment to fostering a vibrant and healthy community remains unwavering.


Speaker Session on "Blockchain Technology"

The time has come when technology is in action, Creating a new level of advancement, it's now a great attraction!!


Blockchain is a method of recording information that makes it impossible or difficult for the system to be changed, hacked, or manipulated.

To enlighten GGSIPU EDC students about blockchain, Mr. Deepak Goyal, an IIT alumni and Co- Founder of crewsphere ICP India was cordially invited. It was a fun, interactive and enriching seminar as lots of information was shared and lots of myths about blockchain were broken by Mr. Deepak Goyal.


Dr. Kriti batra, the innovation ambassador of IIC at USAR hosted the session with her inspirational words, the token of respect was given to Mr. deepak goyal. It was due to Dr. Kriti batra, the students were bestowed with the knowledge about how the changing time required a new and novel level of understanding to become a part of the most sought after teams. How in the ever changing environment we are living in, we have become a part of a race which absolutely is NOT ABOUT WINNING. It was one of the best experiences for students as they were explained about blockchain using real life examples rather than just being recited bookish knowledge.

Orientation Program for Newly Admitted Students of USAR

USAR, GGSIPU EDC is proud to have hosted another successful orientation program tailored for the new wave of talent entering our B.Tech. programs in cutting-edge branches like AI & Data Science, AI &Machine Learning, Industrial IoT and Automation & Robotics. This event, designed to usher in a new generation of scholars, was a day filled with inspiration and information. The event was nothing short of a grand opening, commencing with Saraswati Vandana, the rendition of the university anthem, and a captivating virtual tour of our sprawling campus.

Prof. Arvinder Kaur, Dean USAR and USDI took the stage and shared insights into the scope and significance of the courses offered at our institution. She emphasized the value of attendance and discipline, making it clear that these virtues are the bedrock of a successful academic journey. She also extended a hand to parents, encouraging open conversations with their wards and enlightened all on the exciting opportunities that these courses offer in various industries.

Dr. Rahul Johari began by introducing our website and notice section as vital resources for academic and extracurricular activities. He unveiled various tech and non-tech clubs, promoting holistic development. Rahul Sir emphasized the prestigious DENOVO Centre of Excellence and outstanding internship opportunities at CDAC and PEC Chandigarh. He highlighted state-of-the-art facilities, including the Innovation and Incubation Foundation, dome shaped auditorium, startups like UDIT, SPOT, etc and advanced laboratories like IIoT labs, etc. As Chief Head Warden, he shared insights into hostel arrangements across branches and years. To inspire new students, he celebrated the achievements of senior students, like international presentations in Denmark.

Prof Ajay Singh Singholi Proctor, took the podium to discuss discipline, respect for property, and the paramount importance of security and safety. He underlined that privilege is accompanied by a sense of responsibility, instilling in students the core values that define our institution.

Dr. Kriti Batra wrapped up the orientation program with heartfelt gratitude. She thanked Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahesh Verma for his commitment to state-of-the-art facilities and innovative courses. She also appreciated Prof. P.C. Sharma, Director in Charge of East Campus, and Prof. Arvinder Kaur, Dean of University School of Automation and Robotics and University School of Design and Innovation. She also thanked Dr. Ajay Singh Singholi, the Proctor for his support. Dr. Rahul Johari, Nodal Officer DSW as well as Chief Warden Hostel received thanks for meticulous planning. Lastly, Shri Pankaj Agarawal, Deputy Registrar, GA branch, and Sh. Abhisek Aggarwal, Executive Engineer UWD, PWD, DSW, were recognized for their dedication, making the event seamless.

Our orientation program achieved its primary goal - it made the new students feel like an integral part of our college community from day one. It provided them with insights, introduced them to our esteemed faculty, and allowed them to glimpse the exciting journey that lies ahead.
