Bloody Arrow: UNSC emergency code signifying the complete and decisive defeat of friendly forces, usually following the overrunning of friendly units and positions by hostile forces. It is effectively the complete opposite of S.O.S - it means that one should not, under any circumstances, attempt to land, reinforce, or attempt rescue. Rather, it signifies to any reinforcements that the cause is lost and they should turn back.
Hydra: signifies imminent threat from biological weapons of mass destruction.
Omega Three: UNSC emergency code to be used during combat operations. It is the final panic code, an order to break and run no matter what the cost. As such, Omega Three is used only in extreme situations, when a combat situation suddenly turns extremely grim for the UNSC forces and they would be massacred if they do not immediately retreat.
Code Three-Nine-Two: UNSC code term brandished by Special Warfare teams to ignore hails from other forces due to a higher-priority mission.
Article 428-A: a UNSC protocol in effect in 2552. The protocol forbids soldiers from discussing matters related to classified missions to any personnel who do not have the clearance. This includes anyone, even an AI, who questions the soldier or marine before they are debriefed.
BACKBURN protocol: a protocol used by ONI. It is supposed to be enacted if there is any compromise, or loss of operational integrity to Section Three reports and investigations.
Emergency Priority Order 098831A-1/General Order 098831A-1 (COLE PROTOCAL): to prevent Covenant retrieval of human data that contained the location of Earth, no retreating vessels under any circumstances may set a direct slipspace course toward any human population center. As well as to prevent capture, any military or civilian vessel, in the event of an emergency evacuation, is to self-destruct, after wiping all data matrices, to prevent the advance of the Covenant.
Foxtrot Tango Angel 7012: a security directive of the United Nations Space Command's Office of Naval Intelligence that mandates the distribution of information on Forerunners and their technology.
