Let's take our understanding of AI and Machine Learning a bit further.
Step One:
Find four objects and then go to the website below. Read the page and then hit the get started button...
Step Two:
Edit the names of your objects
Step Three:
Now see how well your computer recognises the objects by holding each in front of the camera and seeing how well and how quickly recognition takes place.
Are there any factors that might help or hinder the recognition?
Now take time to try an audio project or pose project.
Class Discussion:
What are the implications of Machine Learning for the world of work?
How might AI have an impact on social structures and identity?
Step Four:
Click on the button below, read the article and then view the video.
Draw a sketch note of the things you have learned about AI and Machine Learning and extrapolate upon what you now know and what questions you might now have. Choose a colour to code your thoughts as positive, negative and interesting and underline or asterisk them so that you can narrow your focus down. Remember to put a key on the side of your sketchnote.
Step Six:
Add your thoughts to the Padlet below. Give your town but not your address in your Padlet responses and only post from your school so that your location is centralised.
Think of how all of this might feed your writing. Take time now to discuss ideas with your friends and plot out a story line and characters. In what way might AI inclusions craft the way that you build characters and their voices?
Step Seven:
Complete a Futures Wheel based upon one of your observations.
Draw your own Futures Wheel and put your trend or event in the centre make your red circles your possible if suggestions and the green circles your then results. i.e. If AI is here to stay then... Have a look at the partial model below.
