A blue sign with white border held up by a single pole is found in, Strømnes, Langasandur, Haldorsvík, Tjørnuvík, Eiði, Gjógv, Norðskali, Oyrarbakki, Øre, Toftir, Nes (Eysturoy), Skopun, Skalavik, Sandavik, Hvalba, Trongisvagur, Tvøroyri, Frodebø, Øravik, Hov, Porkeri, Lopra, Sumba 

Thick square metal border around the sign with two poles holding it from the ground is found in Klaksvik, Norðoyri, Åerne, Arnafjøður, Mikladalur, 

A regular blue sign with white border and with a metal case around it is only found in Viðareiði, Nes (Suduroy), Hov, Våg, Lopra, Akrar, Vikarbyrgi, Hamrabyrgi, Sumba, 

Green sign without a white border is found in Sandavágur, Vestmanna, Selletræ, Kolbanarjogv, Strendur, Innan Glyvur, and Hvannasund

There is only one type of black sign in the Faroe Islands, and it is found in Miðvágur, Vatnsoyrar, Kvivik, Stykid, and Leynar

A green sign with white border & text held up by a single pole is only found in Bøur, Gásadalur, Kunoy Bygd, and Famjin

A blue sign held up by a bended pole forming an "L" shape without any white border is found in Funningsfjørður, Elduvík, Oyndarfjørður, Skipanes, Søldarfjørður, Lambi, Glyvrar, Runavik, Rituvik.

A  blue sign being held up by a bended pole that looks like an "L" with a white border is found in Eiði, Ljósa, Svinåer, Skalabotnur, Skali 

A blue sign which is cased in a metal box and attached to a pole is only found in Torshavn, Elduvík, Norðragøta, Gøtugjógv and Syðrugøta

A regular blue sign with two poles holding it from the ground is found in Saltangara, Glyvrar, Runavik, Ædruvik, and Elduvik
