Most college applications require you to pay an application fee. The exact amount of the fee depends on the school in which you are applying to. Check with your college adviser or school counselor to see if you are eligible for a college application fee waiver.
An admissions or application essay, sometimes also called a personal statement or a statement of purpose, is an essay or other written statement written by an applicant, often a prospective student applying to a college or university. Some schools will give you an essay prompt or set of questions to follow while writing your essay, and some will allow you full control and direction. Most college essays are about 300-500 words. Always have a trusted adult read over your essays before hitting submit.
A complete record of your academic achievements including the courses you have taken and your final grade in the class. You can request a transcript for in-state schools on GAFutures. For out-of-state schools check with your college adviser or school counselor in order to send a physical copy.
If you have taken any dual enrollment or other college courses, you will also be required to send a copy of this transcript. Check with your college adviser or school counselor if you need assistance sending this transcript.
You will send a high school transcript as a part of your application, but you will also be required to submit a final high school transcript to the college or university that you will attend after graduation.
A letter of recommendation is usually provided by a school teacher, counselor, or educational professional who can attest to the qualities, characteristics, and capabilities of the person being recommended. It is a best practice to submit a letter of recommendation even if it is optional.
Always give appropriate notice (usually 2 weeks minimum) to the person you are asking a letter of recommendation from. You may also want to provide this person with a Brag Sheet or resumé in order for them to write about you as a whole person.

Some colleges have internal applications that are available directly on their website as well. Just search "[your school's name] + application" on Google and see what they have listed under the "Admissions" or "Apply" subpages! If you notice your college has their application available in multiple places or formats, just choose one! For example, The University of Georgia and Berry College both offer an application portal through their website, as well as an application through the Common App. You do not need to submit both, just choose one!
