I am an Armenian engineer, creator, and entrepreneur with a career that blends hands-on product design, startup leadership, and large-scale project management. Born in Moscow and raised across cultures, I moved to the UK at eleven and went on to study Mechanical Engineering with Management at the University of Edinburgh. This multicultural and ever-changing upbringing made me highly adaptable, resilient, and comfortable leading in environments that are new, complex, or uncertain.
From the beginning, I have been motivated by a passion for engineering solutions that have real human impact. At university, I co-founded Augment Bionics, a startup creating affordable myoelectric prosthetics. Within a year we had raised funding, been featured by the BBC and The Scotsman, and turned a student project into a five-person company. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I lead the pivot into PPE production - scaling from a single 3D printer to industrial tooling, raising £110,000, and donating 120,000 visors worldwide. This period taught me perseverance under pressure, the value of first-principles problem solving, and how to grow quickly without losing focus.
After catching the startup bug, I joined Skin+Me, an early-stage personalised skincare company, where I designed and commissioned bespoke machinery, built packaging, and later transitioned into project and business operations. In less than three years, I managed new product launches that expanded the range, introduced 21 formulations into Boots and John Lewis, and helped drive £40M+ in ARR growth. These experiences taught me how to combine engineering rigour with commercial thinking, bridging technical and business teams to bring ambitious products to market.
Most recently, I returned to Armenia to contribute to Goght Urban Valley, a visionary 75-hectare residential development led by my family. I joined at a time when the project was in disarray - poor construction, weak planning, failing contractor relationships - and helped oversee a full turnaround. Today, construction is back on track, villas are selling, and facilities are underway. This was a chance to reconnect with my roots while proving my ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects under intense scrutiny.
Across all of these roles, my constant thread has been:
Engineering curiosity and problem-solving - from prosthetics and packaging to real estate infrastructure.
Entrepreneurial drive - thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where “impossible” is just a starting point.
Leadership and collaboration - managing multidisciplinary teams and aligning technical, commercial, and strategic goals.
I am now seeking the next opportunity back in the UK, ideally with a team tackling meaningful challenges at the intersection of engineering, science, and society. I thrive where ambition is high, impact is tangible, and there is space to learn, grow, and push boundaries.
