I am a member of the University Honors Program and participate in the High School Early Assurance Pathway (HEAP), a highly selective program that provides early assurance of admission into UC’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. This pathway has allowed me to pursue advanced academic opportunities while preparing for a future career in physical therapy.
Beyond academics, I am also involved in student organizations that connect my interests in service and healthcare. As a member of the Pre-Physical Therapy Club, I hope to learn more about the field, develop leadership skills, and gain insight into the physical therapy profession.
I am also a part of UC Habitat for Humanity, a student-led group that partners with the Greater Cincinnati chapter to build homes and advocate for affordable housing. This involvement will give me the chance to contribute to meaningful community projects while promoting teamwork and service.
Another thing I am involved in is being a coach for Iron Core Adapted Strength and Conditioning. At Iron Core we work with youth and adults living with physical challenges. We coach sport-specific training and refining purposeful mobility which may include balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, agility, and reaction time. We custom-design their exercise program to help them excel in their chosen adaptive sport - recreational or competitive or in the basics of strength & conditioning for beginners.
I am also interested in pursuing physical therapy observations and potential summer internships, as these opportunities would allow me to gain deeper insight into the field and strengthen my understanding of patient care and practices.
