Khaenri'ah, The Kingdom of Khaenri'ah, or Dahri, is a region outside the continent of Teyvat and not under The Seven. Rather it was under the Eclipse Dynasty. 500 years ago, the cataclysm ocurred, during this the alchemist Rhinedottir created monsters that poured out from Khaenri'ah to destroy Teyvat. Celestia and the gods destroyed Khaenri'ah and the monsters, all non pure-blood Khaenri'ahns were turned into monsters and those who were pure-blooded were cursed with immortality. Khaenri'ah still exists today and it is described by Dainsleif, a denizen of Khaenri'ah, to be the once place the gods' gaze does not fall. According to Kaeya, Khaenri'ah is deep beneath Sumeru where Hangeh Afrasiyab guards a giant, tightly sealed stone gate beneath it that leads to Khaenri'ah
'Khaenri'ah is dark, underground, and mostly devoid of life, howver it used to be the "pride of humanity" having been built without the gods' aid. The practice of the Art of Khemia and use of forbidden knowledge led to the nation's downfall. King Irmun first introduced the forbidden techniques that allowed Khaneri'ah to advance further. Durin, Elyna, and Riftwolves were the creations of Rhinedottir who attempted to create creatures with the power of the abyss. In response to the attacks from these monsters, Celestia launched an attack along with six of The Seven. The Hydro archon Egeria and the Electro Archon Makoto were killed in the battle and Greater Lord Rukkhadevata used most of her power to cleanse the forbidden knowledge, and used her remaining power to create Lesser Lord Kussanali from what remained of Irminsul. Monstadt's Knights of Favonoius, led by Grandmaster Arundolyn campaigned into Khaenri'ah to defeat the monsters, but Arundolyn's best friend Rostam would fall in the battle, leaving the Grandmaster to grieve. Viridescent and the Crimson Witch of Flames also fought in the battle. Khaenri'ah continues to struggle against the curse and they left Kaeya in Monstadt to infiltrate the Ragnivindr Clan as Khaenri'ah's last hope.
the abyss order wishes to destroy the countries under control of the seven as revenge for the destruction of Khaenri'ah. The people of Khaneri'ah turned into the monsters of the abyss including Hilichurls, Abyss mages, Abyss heralds, and Abyss lectors, many who are believed to have once been the aristocracy
this was an advanced type of alchemy focusing on the creation of life, and it was a major contributor to the cataclysm. Rhinedottir and Albedo are the only known practitioners, with Albedo being the apprentice and synthetic creation of Rhinedottir
The ruin machines were the weapons of Khaenri'ah. Ruin guards (or field tillers) were the most common and moved across Teyvat after the cataclysm.
pure-blooded khaenri'ahns were cursed with immortality, while the others became creatures of the abyss. Those with immortality suffer from erosion. The black serpents, the royal guard of Khaenri'ah either became shadowy husks or remained but suffering from erosion. Halfdan and some others remember their duty to protect Khaenri'ah. Kaeya's family, the Alberich clan, upheld Khaenri'ah after its fall. Pierro, Rhinedottir, and Albedo are also associated with Khaenri'ah. Kaeya and Dainsleif are the best known Khaenri'ahns, Caribert, Chlothar, and Halfdan are all associated with Khaenri'ah as well as Anfortas, Hadura, Irmin, Pierro, and Rhinedottir.
