Genome to Phenome

Research and training activities for the Regulatory Logic program are centered on three focal projects:

• Adaptive radiation of butterfly wing patterns
• Gene regulatory network of butterfly wing pattern development
• Functional testing loci of adaptive evolution

The training program aims to provide students and researchers of all ages are career stages with a practical understanding of genome research. The project leverages the amazing natural diversity in Heliconius butterfly wing color patterns to investigate how changes in the genome relate to changes in phenotype.
