Genies In Wondercell 3.0 (GIW3.0) is an educational digital gamification used in the Protein Synthesis subtopic of the Biology course. GIW3.0 is developed using the Android Package Kit (APK) application and can be played through smartphones. This digital game is an improved version of the original Genies In Wondercell 1.0 project. A magnetic game board has been physically produced and played in Genies In Wondercell 1.0. With the creation of the Genies In Wondercell website and integration with the Quick Response (QR) code and Augmented Reality (AR) applications in this game, further improvements were made in Genies In Wondercell 2.0. Genies In Wondercell 2.0 was then upgraded to the Genies In Wondercell 3.0 project, which improved it by incorporating gamification into the digital world. Genies In Wondercell 3.0's digital gamification was created using Android Package Kit (APK) software, which is played virtually on a smartphone.

This game is one of the initiatives in innovation, designed to align with the 21st-century learning that comprises of the 4C (collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking skill).
What is a genetic code? The sequence of nucleotide bases in DNA and RNA that codes for amino acid chains in proteins. The genetic code in DNA is copied using RNA nucleotides to become a messenger RNA which later will be translated into a polypeptide chain.
Through the ‘Genies in Wondercell’ game, students will experience a new learning approach as well as strengthen their concept and in-depth understanding of the fundamental parts of gene expression in the protein synthesis process.
To make this game more interactive and suitable for the nowadays generation, this game also involves digital application such as QR code and Augmented reality (AR).
