Expert Research. Meaningful Results.
At Genera Genealogical Services, I specialize in both Western and Eastern European ancestry as well as American lineages. My focus is on creating rich, narrative-style reports that go beyond dates and names, each one brings your ancestors’ lives into focus, highlighting the resilience, challenges, and wisdom passed down through generations.
I also offer advanced research capabilities thanks to fluency in Russian and reading proficiency in French, German, Ukrainian, and additional languages, allowing me to access and interpret original records across multiple regions.

The initial retainer covers 5 hours of research at $25/hour, totaling $125. We start with that and see how far we get. If additional research is needed, we can discuss the next steps at that point.
Here’s how it works:
Phase 1 – Research:
After receiving payment via PayPal, I'll spend 5 hours gathering records, building the tree, and exploring your ancestry. I will then check in with you, we can discuss if more research is needed or if you'd like me to move to the next phase. I usually work on an individual client's ancestry, an average of one hour per day, so you will receive an update within 5-7 business days.
Phase 2 – Report:
After the research is completed, I will check in with you, the client. If you’d like a written summary of everything I found, I can prepare that next. It usually takes another 5 hours and is billed the same, $25/hour.
I will also create a free private tree on Ancestry.com that you can view without a subscription. I am not here to sell you memberships as I am not affiliated with Ancestry.
Step 1: In this example, confirmation of ancestry for an ancestral individual was requested. I conducted several searches in genealogical databases, censuses, and archives and collected the most detailed information possible from the client, including all known names and dates of ancestors. The initial report, detailing the recommended next steps, was then provided to the client.
Step 2: In this example, the client wanted me to see what documentation I could find for the research subject one more generation back to the subject's parents. Here again I continued to conduct searches through the genealogical resources available to me and found all the documents for Alexander's parents. Then this is submitted to the client and then he/she makes the decision whether or not to proceed with the genealogical narrative report that tells the entire story based on the information that is available.
Step 3: In this final step, I spent the allotted five-hour retainer crafting the narrative report, which includes photos, narrative text about the subject (Alexander Turitzin in this example), and a link to your free family tree on Ancestry.com. You do not need to pay for an account, and the tree is viewable using a free guest account.
