GEG Satara have launched an initiative to strengthen capacity-building programs for high school and college-level teachers in rural areas, focusing on subject integration with Computational Thinking (CT) through Google tools.
This small but impactful step emphasizes activity-based learning, preparing rural teachers for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and encouraging them to pursue action research. Building on a strong legacy of expertise in this field since 2015, the program aims to bring the benefits of CT and technology-enabled pedagogy to classrooms across rural India.
Conducted by Google and Commonwealth of Learning (COL) Certified Computational Thinkers:
Prof. Dr. Dipak Tatpuje and Mr. Satish Shende
Supported by GEG-Satara and the Consortium of Computational Thinkers
Participation of around 15 rural teachers, who actively interacted with trainers
Development of CT-integrated subject modules for classroom delivery
Special focus on local context learning and problem-solving
This program equips teachers to integrate digital tools, CT concepts, and applied AI into their regular teaching practices. Such integration empowers educators to make subjects more engaging, relevant, and impactful for students while preparing them for a globally connected learning environment.
We invite educational institutions and schools to express their interest in empowering their teachers with 21st-century skills.
