The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at Government Engineering College, Godhra stands firmly on the foundation of its core motto: "Not Me But You." This timeless philosophy reflects the essence of democratic living and underscores the belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society as a whole.
Our dedicated NSS student volunteers actively engage in community service, bridging the gap between academic education and societal needs to emerge as empathetic, responsible, and ethically grounded national leaders.
The program guides students to expand their perspectives and develop a holistic sense of civic duty through these primary objectives:
Community Understanding: To understand the community in which they work and understand themselves in relation to their community.
Problem Identification: To identify the needs and problems of the community and actively participate in solving them.
Civic Responsibility: To develop a sense of social and civic responsibility.
Practical Application: To utilize their knowledge and skills in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
Leadership & Teamwork: To develop the competence required for group living, share responsibilities, and acquire leadership qualities and democratic values.
