Between CLSG and QE competitions we made changes to many mechanisms and to the structure of our robot.
The new robot is called Displacement 2.0.
In this robot, we built a phase-through mechanism into our robot to be able to access the supply zone. We also rebuilt our intake, improving it from last time. There were also changes to our lift mechanism to help the scoring of blocks in goals.
All of this allowed in the smoother operation of our robot.
At this competition, we came 2nd place in skills again! This time we were short of only 1 point! Such a pain:
However, at this competition, we were able to win the excellence award, which celebrates overall excellence at a competition, which includes criteria for the design award and stand-out performance at a competition.
