"What is God Like?" is a 7 lesson series that answers the questions of Who is God? What is God like? and What does God do? and more. Through these lessons, students will be introduced to the character of God and be given a foundation of Biblical truth.

I Corinthians 13:4
If we’re not being kind, we’re not being loving. And, without love, we’re nothing. Sometimes we feel like it doesn’t matter how we talk to people so long as we’re telling them the truth. It’s important to tell the truth and stand up for what’s right. But we’re supposed to speak the truth in love, and love is kind!
Douglas used to think that it was a good idea to be mean to people, so long as he was telling the truth. For example, when his grandma asked if he would like some of the cranberry sauce she made, he told her, “No, thank you, it’s disgusting.” That’s not how we should treat people at all! We should do everything in our power to be kind with our words and actions. That doesn’t mean that we should lie to people, but just because something is true doesn’t mean that it’s good or kind. When Douglas was asked if he wanted cranberry sauce, he could have just said, “No, thank you” and been done with it. We need to remember how important love is in every aspect of our lives and do our best to love the way God loves. Love is kind.

I Corinthians 10:31
When you start living for God instead of for yourself, it changes everything. You might think that if you decide to follow Jesus, then you can’t do anything that you used to do. And there may be some things in your life that God doesn’t want you to do at all, but for many things, it’s just a matter of doing them for God instead of for yourself.
When we live for ourselves, there’s very little meaning in our lives. But when you decide that, whatever you do, you will do it for God, your life will have new purpose, meaning, and direction. Changing why we do what we do (from doing things for our own selves to doing them for God), will automatically change both what we do and how we do it. And it’s so important that we are building a deeper and deeper relationship with God, because the more we know who God is and what He wants, the better we can live our lives in Jesus’ name.
