TimelineJS is an open-source tool that enables anyone to build visually rich, interactive timelines. Beginners can create a timeline using nothing more than a Google spreadsheet.
Useful and easy add-on for Google Sheets. What it does is take one row at a time, where the data normally goes from left to right cell by cell, and creates a Google Doc where the same data is displayed vertically one line at a time, in question / answer format, making it much easier to read.
The template consists of two tabs:
The Goals tab - Here the student will enter any goals they have for reading in the yellow boxes. This tab will also display charts to show the student’s progress toward meeting their goals.
The Log tab - Here the student will record what they read each day.
Pixel Art & Color By Number - A fun use of spreadsheets is to create Pixel art. Students can draw and represent objects by coloring cells in the spreadsheet. This is not only a fun activity, but a good excuse to get students started with spreadsheets… a valuable life skill. (More information)
