Whyville is a virtual world where students play, explore, create and learn together. There are math puzzles, virtual businesses, robots to program and ecological problems to solve. Students can play by themselves, but the program is best used when students collaborate and play multi-player games where they interact to help achieve a common goal. The students become Whyville's citizens, known as Whyvillians. As citizens they can collaborate, compete and share while being engaged in all the available games and activities. The virtual world of Whyville is constantly monitored, so that students are free to engage in a virtual world, while being in a safe environment.

StoriumEdu is a web-based, collaborative writing platform. The purpose is to help develop writing skills, help develop storytelling skills and work together as a team collaborating with other students. It has multiple aspects including a card game and role-playing adventure. Students can work in groups of up to four to write a story based on a scenario assigned by the educator. Students pick a different character and take turns writing scenes for their character. The cards help the progression of the story. The students assume the role of their character and develop the character through the end of the story.
