9th Grade

9th grade BMAH schedules are more regimented than other students as two classes, Advanced Engineering Design 1 (which fills the AACPS technology requirement) and Advanced Principles of Biomedical Science fill elective course spots. Students will also take their AACPS required fine art, PE, or Global Community Citizenship (GCC) classes. Students may take Band, Orchestra, or Chorus as their Fine Art credit, but may not be able to take it the full year.  Adding these classes or AVID for a full year will push GCC and Fitness for Life (mandatory for AACPS graduation) until later years.

10th Grade

10th grade BMAH schedules introduces students to their first pathway class. Students are also encouraged to take an AP elective when possible. We often recommend AP Human Geography as it is typically accessible and often has a passing score. Students must take a semester of Health A and a semester of Med Rounds this year. 

11th Grade

11th grade BMAH schedules includes their second pathway class, AP Seminar and the potential for several other AP course options. Additionally, students may take ECAP classes asynchronously, if they qualify (see BMAH & Advanced Classes). 

NOTE: Dual Credit classes may be taken online during 11th grade.

12th Grade

12th grade BMAH schedules see the most flexibility as most AACPS required classes have been finished. All BMAH students must still have a full schedule. Any graduation requirement classes not previously taken such as GCC, PE, Fine Art, or Health, must be taken.

Students in Bioengineering and Bioscience finish their pathway courses at GBHS. Aging & Wellness, Health Info Tech, and Public Heath will take their final classes from a list of approved classes at AACC. Students are encouraged to take additional AP or dual credit/enrollment classes to fill the remainder of their schedule. 

Students with approved apprenticeships (AACPS, NSA, or at the hospital) may be granted a partial schedule. However, schedule availablity is limited to when required classes (such as AP Research and PLTW EDD Capstone are offered.) We will NOT know the final master schedule until mid to late July. We cannot guarantee any particular schedule format.

NOTE: Students may leave campus to attend in-person AACC classes. Students must provide their own transportation.
