As I enter my third year of Stem Ambassadors, as well as finish up my Junior year and enter into my Senior year, I have learned a few things. I learned a lot about how to communicate with people from almost any background or circumstance. I learned how to explain lessons and learned with the kids in the process. I actually found that a lot of the lessons I taught, helped me in my classes at school, and I could explain them to my friends so that they could understand better. I did struggle a bit with finding lessons to suit each age, but I found it was a rewarding experience when I could find lessons to suit their needs, and used it as a challenge for myself. The most memorable lesson from last year was when we taught paper mache volcanos, and it got everywhere. We were cleaning for the whole day, but It was fun for the kids to see the reaction, and to get a hands on experiment. We also taught the reaction of elephant toothpaste, which did end up shooting very high with our bottles. The kids loved to see the reaction and to see us run very fast away from the bottle.
