Self regulation skills are skills/techniques that people use to be able to regulate their emotions when they get high-strung
I typically use a few of the following:
Squeezing and opening my fists
Focusing on breathing
Walk away and take a breather
Or just simply keep working
Sometimes distracting yourself with your work can help me to basically "forgive and forget" and come back with a clear head.
As far as games go, for most children competitive games that get kids really into it can help them think about their emotions, this can be anything from dodgeball to chess (Just random games). If they are told before hand to really consider how they are feeling, it might make them more aware , and better able to handle it.
